I picked this Water Flosser back in 2024 and, honestly, I didn’t expect it to still be going strong this many years later. But here we are—about six years in—and it’s still working just as effectively as when I first bought it. No noticeable drop in pressure or performance, which says a lot about the build quality.
My oral hygiene habits have been a bit on-and-off over the years, but lately I’ve been trying to stay more consistent. One thing I can confidently say is that it really did help reduce my gum bleeding. Recently I tried traditional string floss again for the first time in quite a while, and surprisingly there was no bleeding at all. That was a pretty clear sign that my gums are in better shape than they used to be.
Now, some marketing claims say these devices are “2x more effective” than string floss. From what I’ve read in independent studies, that’s probably a bit exaggerated. But research does show that water flossers—especially the ones approved by the ADA—are at least as effective as traditional floss when used correctly, and sometimes even slightly better.
For me personally, the biggest advantage is usability. It’s quicker, more comfortable, and just easier to stick with than string floss. Because it’s convenient, I actually remember to use it regularly, which is probably the biggest win.
Overall, it’s been a great long-term purchase. Durable, effective, and simple enough that it fits into my routine without feeling like a chore. If you struggle to stay consistent with regular flossing, something like this might make a real difference.
