I’ll be honest — I didn’t expect much for the price. But this little speedometer actually surprised me.
I recently picked up a car with the steering wheel on the right-hand side, and the dashboard reads in KM. I figured I’d just force myself to learn the conversions on the fly… 15 mph, 25 mph, 35 mph — do the math in my head while driving. Not ideal. Then I found this.
Setup was super simple. Plug and play. I connected it to my car stereo power, mounted it inside the car, and that was it. It locked onto GPS and displayed MPH exactly the way I needed. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the reviews turned out to be legit — and my real-world experience matched them.
As a backup solution until I fully memorize the KM-to-MPH conversions, this thing is perfect. Clear display, easy to read, and the build quality feels solid for what you’re paying.
Now, one minor issue: it did lose signal once and stopped working for about two minutes. I’m pretty sure it was just the GPS trying to reconnect because it came back on its own and hasn’t done it again since. Still worth mentioning. These GPS-based devices depend on signal strength, so occasional delays might happen.
