I went with the 40V Husqvarna after watching a bunch of videos on 20V blowers that just looked… underwhelming. If I’m going to be outside doing yard work, I don’t want to baby the job. I want something that actually moves debris, not something that politely nudges it around.
At first, I felt a little guilty spending the extra money. You know that feeling — standing there wondering if you really needed the bigger model. But after putting it through a few tough jobs, that guilt disappeared fast. Raking leaves and debris off my flat roof used to take me close to an hour. With this? Just minutes. It’s honestly kind of satisfying watching it clear everything so quickly.
The noise level is totally manageable too. It’s not whisper-quiet, but it’s nowhere near obnoxious. And since it gets the job done faster, you’re actually running it for less time overall — which means less noise in the long run.
I was also hesitant about jumping into another battery platform since most of my other tools are 20V. I didn’t love the idea of yet another charger sitting in the garage. But the battery has been a pleasant surprise. It charges pretty quickly, has clear status lights so you know exactly where it stands, and best of all — it’s not power-hungry. My 20V batteries usually go straight back on the charger after a job. This 40V? For smaller jobs, I don’t even bother recharging it.
Bottom line: if you want something that actually feels like an upgrade and not just another tool, this one delivers. It’s powerful, efficient, and makes quick work of jobs that used to drag on way too long. No regrets.
